Poste proposé : HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER

   Purpose:

The Human Ressources Manager operates efficiently and oversees all aspects of sites’ human resources function including employment, classification and compensation, staff management, payroll, training and development, labor relations, HR policies management, procedures, systems and processes, as well as many other employee relations issues to ensure legal/ regulatory compliance.

 

    Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement site HR strategies and initiatives
  • Implement site-based HR policies and procedures regarding training & development, recruitment and career management, compensation, training and development, leave and internal communication as directed by the Organisation & Development Director
  • Partner with the Executive Director and leadership team to develop and communicate Human Resources policies and procedures to the organization.
  • Establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation through employee engagement initiatives.
  • Participate in industrial and employee relations matters reporting to the Organisation & Development Director of union-related issues, labour administration issues and/or employee relations issues.
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance. Responsible for performance management and improvement systems.
  • Handle and manage most employee relations issues, counseling employees, handling progressive discipline, conduct investigations and conduct exit interviews.
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process of new employees with supervisors.
  • Contribute to the annual HR department budgeting and planning program.
  •  As directed, participate in the senior management team providing regular status updates of HR-related matters.
  •  Deliver HR projects and programs as directed from the Organisation and Development Director.
  • Work in partnership with senior management to establish long term staffing goals and strategies to ensure effective and continuous operation of the site.
  • Maintain a good quality of interactions and supportive actions between HR staff and key managers in the organisation
  • Interact with Training Officers from different departments to develop and oversee all training activities in the company providing regular report to authority about training
  • and development programs.
  • Conduct formal career development discussions with employees and identify development opportunities and programs that assist with defining future career progression possibilities

Safety Management:

  • Demonstrate personal commitment in regard to safety and environmental and Social Responsibility practices
  • Ensure every person within the team is fit for work
  • Ensure that agreed procedures, safeguards and controls are applied and used
  • Ensure all activities are conducted safely and in accordance with Company standards and procedure
  • Ensure hazard management plans are observed
  • Keep statutory and internal reporting as required.

Profil recherché pour le poste : HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Master or Bac+5 in HRM, Law or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in Human Resources with 5 years in similar level-roles
  • High-level of knowledge of local Labour Law

·         French / English language skills essential

  • Strong computer skills, proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines and respond promptly to internal and external requests.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the organization

·         Experience in a developing country with a preference for West African experience

·         Demonstrate strong conceptual skills, and be capable of developing lateral and practical solutions.

·         Ability to respond to a changing work environment

·         Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at the same time 

·         Reputation for integrity and ethics

·         Demonstrated leadership skills

          Roster: 7 weeks’ work/ 3 weeks’ off
