Operational Excellence Manager

About the Role :

• The Operational Excellence Manager Africa will be responsible for developing, supporting, engaging, aligning, and contributing to the Continuous improvement initiatives in Africa connected with the “Go 4 Zero Together” Global Strategy.

Key Responsabilities :

• Contribute to the deployment of the continuous improvement culture in all departments and operations
• Train and develop project managers with CI leads of the sites for CI implementation and sustainability
• Plan and drive implementation of CI-strategy and programs at any site in the region
• Lead project development meetings and coordinate periodic review of project status and results for CI-projects
• Provide support to the Region and plants in tools of lean manufacturing
• Establish master training program for the OSCO group working with plants to identify the needs of the OSCO team.
• Support OSCO strategy “Go 4 Zero Together”
• Influence, support, guide and contribute to all the operational departments in Africa as follows: Beans grinding sites, Beans cleaning sites, and Supply Chain operations in total of 8 sites in 4 countries (Nigeria, Cameroon, Ghana, Ivory Coast)
• Relate and work closely with all operational stakeholders as CI leads, Stream leaders, Plant Managers, SC managers, Finance partners, Controllers, also working as team member in the regional Africa level
• Close working activities with A&P leader for Africa and Global Cocoa specialists.

• University degree; a master or bachelor degree in Engineering, Food Science or Economics
• Experience in lean, TQM, six sigma or similar Continuous Improvement environments
• Experience in Project Management
• Fluent in English/French Language
• Knowledgeable in MS Office Suite
• Excellent global stakeholder management requirement
• Excellent communication skills
• Master all elements of change management, including requirements structures and implementation barriers at all organizational levels
• Leadership and interpersonal skills
• Result-oriented.
