Poste proposé : Senior Manager Services & Distribution (Abidjan)


  • Design and drive the implementation of the Division’s business strategy in his/her geographical area, in line with MTN CI’s presence, Products & Services availability and sales objectives.


  • Contribute to the definition of the Division’s commercial strategy/policy;
  • Ensure the proper execution of the company’s global commercial policy and the proper sales administration at regional level;
  • Convert key strategic priorities into tactics and coordinate the development of sales plans,
  • Define the budget, the resources requirements and appropriate means to achieve the defined objectives for the region;
  • Manage the implementation of sales and distribution network structuring plans;
  • Lead and animate the sales force in the region: support, sales representatives in the field, regular advice on the sales approach, etc.;
  • Ensure the availability of MTN CI products and services within its area:
  • Contribute to the definition and lead the management framework of the distribution partners in the region;
  • Manage commercial development projects on the territory according to the defined strategy;
  • Manage a consistent customer experience in line with company standards throughout the territory and in every channel;
  • Carry out business development and prospecting activities for major regional accounts;
  • Coordinate negotiations for referencing or signing new contracts;
  • Identify relevant sales targets for the sales force and define individual and/or collective sales development objectives;
  • Drive sales performance ;
  • Carry out constant analysis of market trends, company positioning, competitors’ offers, territorial performance and other relevant indicators in order to adapt permanently the company’s offers;
  • Set up sales animation operations at regional level in collaboration with the Brand & Com team and Business Lines to boost sales;
  • Ensure external representation towards strategic clients: attendance at events, conferences, maintenance of a network of distributors….;
  • Develop and ensure compliance with quality standards, procedures and ethical as well as professional standards;
  • Manage business risks in a proactive way;
  • Keep abreast of the most recent developments in his/her field of activity.
Profil recherché pour le poste : Senior Manager Services & Distribution (Abidjan)


  • BAC + 4/5 in business school, Sales/Distribution, Marketing or equivalent
  • Complete proficiency in English and French
  • BAC + 4/5 in business school, Sales/Distribution, Marketing or equivalent
  • Complete proficiency in English and French


  • 7 years’ minimum experience in Business to Consumer sales, distribution
  • 4 years’ minimum experience in the coordination, development and management resellers network
  • 4 years’ minimum experience in supervising/managing distribution teams

Experience in:

  • Management of cross-functional teams

  • Very good knowledge of telecom products and services (market overview, products and competition) in order to achieve an organizational advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of the local economy and its representatives (chambers of commerce, local authorities…)
  • Knowledge of the customer and the market (issues, competitions, etc.)
  • Excellent knowledge in Territory Management
  • Excellent knowledge of sales and merchandising methods to support and mentor sales teams in the field
  • Good Marketing culture (Brand management, Trade marketing, etc.) to interact with various interlocutors
  • A sound financial culture in order to manage budget and ensure effective reporting
